Aristocrat Employees Donate $22,980.00 to Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada

LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwired - May 6, 2015) - Employees at Aristocrat's Las Vegas facilities joined representatives from Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada for a celebration today where Aristocrat donates $22,980.00 to the charity.

The money was raised through a combination of efforts at Aristocrat. The company's Community Involvement Committee sponsored the Make-A-Wish Walk ($500) as well as sponsoring 10 participants in the walk. Additionally employees participated in a "Fast for February Initiative" where employees gave up a favorite food and/or drink over a 30-day period and donated the money saved to Make-A-Wish.

Those combined efforts raised $11,490, and the company then matched the donation amount for a grand total of $22,980.

Caroline Ciocca, President & CEO said, "This initiative is a creative way to motivate employees to give back while giving up something they love. We are so grateful for our partnership with Aristocrat employees. As a company, they are changing lives and delivering hope to kids who need it most."

Aristocrat is very active in the Las Vegas community, donating an average of $100,000 to local charities each year.
