Alfa Laval wins SEK 110 million power order in the Middle East

Alfa Laval – a world leader in heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid
handling – has won an order to supply air-cooler systems to a power plant in the
Middle East. The order, booked in the Energy & Process segment, has a value of
approximately SEK 110 million. Delivery is scheduled for 2016.
The air-cooler systems will be used for cooling duties in a combined cycle power
plant. A combined cycle power plant uses both a gas turbine and a steam turbine,
which combined enables it to produce up to 50 percent more electricity than a
traditional simple-cycle plant, using the same amount of fuel.
