LAS VEGAS, May 8, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Rob Felix, regional vice president for Associa, was recently presented only the second ever Distinguished Served Award by the Community Association Managers International Certification Board (CAMICB). He accepted the honor at Community Associations Institute (CAI) National Conference & Exposition April 29 - May 2 in Las Vegas.
"I was shocked and surprised when they called my name to receive this award but it's something I will always remember and cherish," says Felix. "For more than 35 years I've been involved in community management and to be recognized by my peers in the industry is truly an honor."
Felix has been in his role with Associa for three years but has worked within the community association management industry since 1980. In his illustrious career he has managed communities and large-scale resorts, started a consulting and Reserve Study business, worked as president & CEO of an Associa branch office, taught and spoke extensively around the world for CAI and now supports operational branch activity in the western U.S., including special project administration, customer support and marketing.
Felix has attained his CMCA®, LSM®, PCAM® and RS® certifications through CAI. He is a graduate of Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration.
