The road construction companies AS “LATVIJAS TILTI” and UAB “Kauno Keliai” on 15 May, 2015 submitted appeal to the Court of Appeal of Lithuania as they have not got any answer from Vilnius Municipality to the submitted suggestion to announce a new and transparent public procurement procedure for the III stage construction works of Vilnius Western bypass. Amount of the works of construction of five kilometre road section, including reconstruction of electric line, is equal to 90 million euro.
The Court of Appeal is being asked to revoke the lower court’s decision as inconsistent with the settled Lithuanian and European case law and to oblige Vilnius Municipality Administration, which announced the tender, to remove the discriminatory and competition restricting provisions.
