Hemp, Inc. to Sponsor HempZone at Upcoming Holistic Living Expo in Sacramento, CA

LAS VEGAS, May 19, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- As part of its ongoing market penetration strategy, Hemp, Inc. (OTC:HEMP) announced today it will sponsor the next HempZone at the upcoming Holistic Living Expo on Sunday, May 24, 2015 in Sacramento, CA.  The HempZone is an interactive area of interrelated businesses within the hemp and cannabis industries that educates investors, showcase products, and empower entrepreneurs. The age-old medicinal benefits of hemp and cannabinoids (CBDs) have been gaining popularity among more “alternative health consumers”, a market in which Hemp, Inc. plans to launch a new CBD product line soon.

“The chemical compounds of cannabinoids (e.g., THC and CBD) provide relief to a broad spectrum of symptoms including pain, nausea, and inflammation... and promotes better health, overall.  Hemp oil and CBD oil, derived from the hemp and cannabis plant is an incredible for natural healing and that’s what we plan to highlight through upcoming HempZone. The Holistic Living Expo in Sacramento is the ideal platform,” said Bruce Perlowin, CEO of Hemp, Inc. (OTC:HEMP). "There is a global awakening to the potential of cannabinoid-rich hemp oil (or CBDs) which has remained untapped until just a few years ago," continued Perlowin.

Cannabis is becoming legal slowly but surely.  In fact, Medical Marijuana, Inc. just released its HempMeds Brasil's™ RSHO™ product, the “first cannabis product to be approved for import by Brazil’s federal government and used as a prescription for approved medical indications within Brazil.”  Hemp, Inc. executives feel these are the kinds of things that need to be highlighted in The HempZone.

Hemp, Inc. invites and encourages other hemp and hemp-related industry companies to participate with a booth in The HempZone at the Holistic Living Expo.

Pioneered by Hemp, Inc., The HempZone was first introduced on the scene last year at Denver's First Annual Cannabis Capital Summit and was a huge success, serving as a point of reference for up and coming industry leaders to seasoned investors looking to invest in growing industry. The HempZone featured four areas of education and information: (1) the economic viability, power and potential of Hemp in both industrial and healthcare sectors of the marketplace; (2) five hemp-based companies with various Hemp production or product supply enterprises; (3) Hemp educational opportunities; and (4) business development initiatives for driving alternative healthcare companies and solutions.

The HempZone continued in Los Angeles at the 1st Annual Ascent Expo.  The concept of The HempZone ensures a presence in other cultural creative expos and festivals that parallels the industrial hemp and medical marijuana industries.

"Hemp, Inc. is already a sponsor of New Earth Events that holds events 2 to 3 times per month.  The HempZone is now an added feature which allows us to create a more holistic approach to cannabis and industrial hemp,” continued Perlowin. Since partnering with New Earth Events, Hemp, Inc. has been able to showcase and sell its hemp-based cosmeceutical line and hemp nutraceutical products to a wide range of cultural creatives, creating revenue for the company.

The Sacramento Holistic Living Expo will show the film “Hempsters: Plant the Seed”, featuring double Academy Award nominee and seven-time Emmy Award nominee and one-time winner, Woody Harrelson.  The film follows the “lively exploits of activists for (and against) the movement for the legalization of the hemp plant in America,” It also features Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, and an arsenal of farmers, politicians, businessmen, and laypeople searching for the truth on a plant outcast by society.

According to New Earth Events, Executive Director, Dean Price, Sacramento’s Holistic Living Expo is expected to attract hundreds of attendees to hear speakers such as Jill Averett; Rev. Kathleen L. Dixon, Hugo Garcia, Merly Shwetzer; Angela Lynne Gibson; and, Dr. Eve Allen, to name a few speak and sample products and services from exhibitors such as Hemp, Inc.’s HempZone; Fusion Wellness; doTERRA Essential Oils; Norwex; Share International; Intuitive Energy Work and Alchemical Healing Services; and, Sacramento’s own Center for Soul Healing, to name a few.

UPDATE - HEMP, INC.'s DECORTICATION PLANT IN NORTH CAROLINA
The decortication facility in North Carolina continues to progress. Last week marked the completion of the access road as required by Duke Energy.  According to David Schmitt, COO of Hemp, Inc.’s Industrial Hemp Manufacturing, LLC, this access road was needed to position and install the new transformer to go along side of the decortication facility.  This gives 480 volt three phase power throughout the decortication facility.

The HVAC equipment is also operational for the storage of Hemp, Inc.’s Kenaf seed which needs to be stored in refrigerated temperatures, with additional seed ordered to plant approximately 2500 acres of Kenaf. Planting is set for this month which will be available for use in 2016.

The Temafa engineer from Germany is scheduled to arrive in Spring Hope this week.  Upon arrival, reassembly of the decortication line will begin in earnest.  See its current video update here.

Hemp, Inc.'s automated Temafa decortication line, which can be used to process raw hemp and Kenaf for the American farmers, is the only commercial, large-scale machine of its kind in North America. According to Perlowin, it would take at least 2 years, minimum, to duplicate the line. Hemp, Inc. and its whole team is committed to the American farmers and plans to continue spearheading a new clean, green American Agricultural and Industrial Revolution based on hemp and hemp products. The decortication and milling plant, is housed in a 70,000 square-foot warehouse (with a 6-inch cement foundation and a refrigerated section).

HEMP, INC.'s TRIPLE BOTTOM LINE
Hemp, Inc. (OTC:HEMP) seeks to benefit many constituencies from a "Cultural Creative" perspective thereby not exploiting or endangering any group. CEO of Hemp, Inc. (OTC:HEMP), Bruce Perlowin, is positioning the company as a leader in the industrial hemp industry, with a social and environmental mission at its core. Thus, the publicly-traded company believes in "upstreaming" of a portion of profit from the marketing of their finished hemp goods back to its originator, in which most cases will one day be the American farmer, cultivating natural, sustainable products as an interwoven piece of nature. By Hemp, Inc. focusing on comprehensive investment results—that is, with respect to performance along the interrelated dimensions of people, planet, and profits—our triple bottom line approach can be an important tool to support sustainability goal.
