USHCC Applauds Comcast's Renewed Commitment to Customers and Employees

WASHINGTON, May 19, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) applauds Comcast Corporation on their multi-year plan to reinvent the customer experience. As part of the plan, Comcast will hire over 5,500 new employees, invest in cutting-edge technology, and simplify subscriber interaction to provide superior service and transform the customer experience.

Comcast Corporation announced that it will create over 5,500 new jobs with the construction of three new service centers, including one staffed by bilingual employees who will provide support to Spanish-speaking customers across the U.S. In addition, Comcast's social care team, which serves customers online, will triple in size. Customer support will also be improved through investment in cloud-based technology, advanced network tools for engineers, and expanded employee training.

"Comcast has demonstrated a longstanding commitment to expand access to the tools and technology that support the growth of small businesses and the education of our next generation of leaders," said USHCC President & CEO Javier Palomarez. "As a member of Comcast's Diversity Advisory Council, I have witnessed firsthand how the company has continued to create new and innovative ways to improve access to technology and information for all Americans. We commend Comcast for consistently delivering world-class service while striving for the highest level of customer experience."

The planned changes will increase Comcast's efficiency in addressing the consumer's needs and concerns. Retail stores will be redesigned, and Comcast will use mobile technology to cut in-store wait times and simplify transactions. The company will also strengthen dispatch teams for better trouble shooting to ensure all service needs are fulfilled more efficiently.
