Election of members of the Board
Following the AGM that was held on May 26, 2015 at the Group's headquarters in Gothenburg, West Atlantic announces a change to the Board of Directors' composition.
Dr. Göran Berglund, Chairman of the Board since 1995, announced his retirement after more than 20 years. The Board of Directors wishes to thank Dr. Berglund for his leadership throughout the Group's journey from a small domestic airline to a multinational and widely recognised dedicated airfreight service and solution provider.
In addition, Mr. Fredrik Lindgren announced that he was not up for re-election. The Board of Directors also wishes to thank Mr. Lindgren for his contribution over the past years.
The AGM decided on the following appointments:
- Mr. Gustaf Thureborn (CEO & President) was re-elected member of the Board.
- Mr. Staffan Carlson was re-elected member of the Board.
- Mr. Joseph Payne was re-elected member of the Board.
- Mr. Lars Lindgren was elected and appointed Chairman of the Board. Previous experience includes 25+ years in the aviation industry including the position of CEO of SAS International, and several Board of Directors appointments.
- Mrs. Marianne Dicander Alexandersson was elected member of the Board, previous experience includes several Board of Directors appointments including Recipharm, Castellum and Mölnlycke Healthcare.
- Mr. Carsten Browall was elected member of the Board. Previous experience includes several Board of Directors appointments including Vitrolife, Global Health Partner, Unident and Osstell.
- Mr. Ingvar Nilsson was elected member of the Board. Previous experience includes 40+ years in the logistics industry in several senior management positions.
