Perry Ellis International Announces Eyewear License Agreement for Laundry by Shelli Segal Brand

MIAMI, May 27, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Perry Ellis International (Nasdaq:PERY) announced today that it has entered into a license agreement with Colors In Optics, Ltd. to include sunglasses, ophthalmic eyewear and eyewear accessories such as cases, chains, cloths and cleaners under the Laundry by Shelli Segal® brand. The roster of licenses for the Laundry brand will now include eyewear in addition to fashion accessories, lingerie, outerwear, home and fragrance. The new collection is expected to launch Spring 2016 in premium department stores, upscale specialty stores, eyewear specialty stores, optical shops, Optician's offices and select ecommerce sites in the U.S. and Canada.

Vibrant, confident and chic, the Laundry by Shelli Segal® collection has been shaping the way women dress since 1988, and the brand continues to inspire women today with its iconic styling and stunning detail. Drawing on its success as a major day and evening dress resource, the contemporary brand has fast become a true lifestyle brand with nearly a dozen licensed product categories as well as direct expansion into suit separates in 2014.

Perry Ellis International Chairman & Chief Executive Officer George Feldenkreis remarked, "We are delighted to have a licensee of the caliber of Colors In Optics, a leader in the eyewear industry, which will only enhance our continued strategy to extend the reach of our global portfolio of lifestyle brands across categories, channels and markets to drive further growth and profitability."

"We are very selective about the brands with which we choose to partner with and we couldn't be more excited to be working with Laundry by Shelli Segal to bring the brand's sense of color and style to the sunglass and ophthalmic eyewear categories," said Sanford Hutton, President of Color In Optics, Ltd.
