OneNeck IT Solutions Successfully Completes PCI Data Security Standard Validation for Colocation Services

OneNeck(R) IT Solutions, a hybrid provider of cloud computing, managed services, and colocation services, announces the company has validated compliance with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS) version 3.0 as a "Level 1" service provider for its colocation services.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., May 27, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via PRWEB - OneNeck® IT Solutions, a hybrid provider of cloud computing, managed services, and colocation services, announces the company has validated compliance with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS) version 3.0 as a "Level 1" service provider for its colocation services.

The scope of the assessment included the colocation services at OneNeck's data centers in Eden Prairie, Minn.; Fitchburg, Wis.; Gilbert and Tempe, Ariz.; and Waukee, Iowa.

The PCI DSS is a comprehensive set of standards requiring merchants and service providers who store, process, or transmit customer payment card data to adhere to strict information security controls and processes. It was created by the founding brands of the PCI Security Standards Council, which includes American Express, Discover Financial, JCB International, MasterCard Worldwide, and Visa Inc. The standard has twelve requirements that include the following information security topics:

  • Security management
  • Policies and procedures
  • Physical security
  • Network architecture
  • User access management
  • Network and systems monitoring
  • Software development

The PCI DSS requires any merchant who outsources the transmission, processing, or storage of payment card data to a third party provider verify the provider adheres to the standard. As a leading provider of colocation services to merchants, OneNeck has proactively met this obligation to its customers.

"Achieving PCI DSS validation is critical to our customers," said Clint Harder, CTO and senior vice president of Cloud and Managed Services at OneNeck. "This validation clearly demonstrates we have the security controls in place and that we are PCI DSS compliant and audit ready. In addition, because our data centers are geographically dispersed, we're able to provide customers with a variety of highly available options to securely host their PCI DSS environments."

The assessment was performed by BrightLine CPAs & Associates, Inc., a globally accredited Qualified Security Assessor firm that provides assurance and compliance services to global companies. The scope of the assessment included the applicable requirements of version 3.0 of the PCI DSS for validation of "Level 1" service providers. Following the completion of the assessment, a Report on Compliance was issued to reflect OneNeck's full compliance with the PCI Data Security Standard.
