JOHNSTOWN, Pa., May 29, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) announced today that it has been awarded a contract from the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). The contract, which includes a base period and two option years, will run through March 2018 and be worth over $2.2 million if all options are exercised.
The contract focuses on providing sustainment and support of the Diminishing Manufacturing Sources Shared Data Warehouse (DMS SDW). The DMS SDW supports the DLA Land and Maritime Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) Program Office as well as the Department of Defense's (DoD's) obsolescence management program. The objective of the DMS SDW is to improve the sustainability of weapon systems by reducing the impact of DMSMS through more effective identification and management of obsolete parts across all Services and Agencies.

DMS SDW is a cluster of integrated Web-enabled database applications developed to provide single points-of-entry and seamless connectivity to various disparate DoD logistic databases. This cluster of disparate Web applications is designed to simulate the business processes of an obsolescence-managing activity or military service.

CTC will provide support to the DLA Information Operations to ensure that DMS SDW is a viable and supportable program to enterprise-wide DLA sites and locations, the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Marine Corps. The support includes, but is not limited to: Information Assurance, upgrades to software, server migration, changes to the DMS SDW applications, monitoring and testing of software, application testing, modification of training materials and/or manuals, and system testing support.
