Ramirent AS and Statoil ASA have signed a nationwide frame agreement whereby Ramirent will supply lifts to Statoil's onshore and offshore facilities in Norway. The four-year agreement includes an option for an extension of additional two years. The value of the agreement is not disclosed.

With this agreement Ramirent expands its offering to the Oil & Gas industry as it has previously mainly supplied the sector with High Class Temporary Space for office and accommodation.
Ramirent lifts will be used for modification and maintenance work at Statoil facilities. Typically, the whole refinery/plant is shut-down for 8-10 weeks and the lifts are used to access all parts of the plant with rental periods ranging from 1 day to 12 months.
In April 2015, Ramirent opened a new customer centre at Coast Center Base in Sotra to better meet the needs of suppliers and subcontractors working on offshore rig and service projects. The Sotra customer centre specialises on tailoring solutions for service companies supplying the oil industry.
