(Nasdaq:IDCC), a mobile technology research and development company, today announced that its EdgeHaul Small Cell Backhaul Solution has been shortlisted for the 2015 Small Cell Forum Small Cell Industry Awards in the Small Cell Backhaul Design and Technology category.
Launched earlier this year at Mobile World Congress 2015, EdgeHaul is the world's first WiGig-based self-organizing millimeter wave Gbps transport system that features adaptive phased array beam forming technology. It is designed to operate in the global V-Band (60 GHz) and delivers LTE-A ready Gbps transport in a self-healing, inexpensive system configuration.
The Small Cell Backhaul Design and Technology award category aims to highlight the latest backhaul solutions which minimize the impact of backhaul on the roll out of small cell networks. Award winners will be announced at the 2015 Small Cell Forum Small Cell Industry Awards Ceremony on June 10, 2015 at the Small Cells World Summit in London. In addition, InterDigital will exhibit the EdgeHaul Solution and other 5G technologies at the Small Cells World Summit from June 9 - 12, 2015.
