Independence Blue Cross celebrates Indego Dollar Day on June 2


PHILADELPHIA, June 1, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- What: Independence Blue Cross celebrates a new way for anyone to try Indego for just one dollar. On Independence Dollar Days, the first 30 minutes of bike trips purchased at an Indego station are just one dollar instead of the standard price of four dollars per 30-minute ride. Regular charges apply for trips lasting longer than 30 minutes. Independence Dollar Days occur the first Tuesday of each month.

Independence Dollar Days are geared toward Indego trips that are purchased with a credit or debit card at any of the 70 bike stations throughout the city. Therefore, Independence Dollar Days will not work with an Indego Key for riders who are already Indego members.

When: Tuesday, June 2, 2015
All day until 10 p.m.

Where: The Indego system operates 24 hours a day, year round in neighborhoods from Point Breeze, Passyunk and Center City to Yorktown, Olde Kensington, Francisville and Spruce Hill.
