Pune Luxury Property Named Hotel of the Year 2014 at This Year's Marriott GM Conference

PUNE, INDIA--(Marketwired - Jun 3, 2015) - It's been a winning year for the Courtyard Pune Hinjewadi. At Marriott's General Managers Conference in February, the Hinjewadi hotel was named Hotel of the Year 2014, recognized for its sales, team work, social initiatives and strong leadership team. The hotel shared the honour with the Courtyard Mexico City Airport, both of which were chosen from 1,000 Courtyard hotels worldwide.

The annual conference, held this year at Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center at the National Harbor, just outside of Washington, D.C., recognizes the best associates, strongest managers and top performing hotels. Celebrating these achievements has been a long-standing tradition and is a strong part of the Marriott culture.

In addition to winning Hotel of the Year, the 4-star Pune property was also recognized with five awards within the Asia Pacific Marriott Hotels category, including Food & Beverage Operations of the Year, Room Operations of the Year, Best Food Quality of the Year, Best Arrival Experience and Best Overall Guest Experience. Its success is due in no small part to general manager Manish Tolani, who was awarded General Manager of the Year 2014 by Hotelier India magazine.
