Hawley joined the hospital medicine company Cogent Healthcare in 1999, where she most recently served as its Chief Customer Experience Officer. During her tenure with Cogent, she served in numerous capacities including Senior Vice President of Operations, where she was responsible for all program operations and customer account management, as well as leading Cogent's innovation initiatives, including the Bundled Payment Care Improvement (BPCI) effort.
Hawley holds a BS from Drexel University and earned her MBA in healthcare administration from Eastern University. She also received a Certificate in Occupational Therapy from the University of Pennsylvania and a Green Belt in Six Sigma Certification from Villanova University. She serves on the Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM) Performance, Measurement and Reporting Committee (PMRC). Hawley is also a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).
