ARLINGTON, Va., June 9, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Planned Systems International, Inc. (PSI), a leading provider of Health IT solutions to the federal government, is pleased to announce it has donated $22,900 to assist with disaster relief and humanitarian efforts following the devastating earthquake in Nepal and the surrounding region.
Contributions totaling $11,452 were raised by PSI employees. With PSI's 100% matching donation, a total of $22,904 was donated to help the Nepali community. A check was presented by PSI CFO Steve Crespy to representatives of the National Capital Region of the American Red Cross at PSI's Arlington, Virginia office on June 8, 2015.
"We at PSI are deeply saddened by the catastrophic loss of life in Nepal. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of those impacted by this terrible disaster," said CEO Terry Lin. "As a global corporate citizen, we were eager to support those undergoing such devastation and suffering. We wanted to make a difference."
Since the April 25th earthquake, more than 7,000 Red Cross volunteers and staff have been mobilized to distribute relief supplies and provide shelter, meals and clean water to survivors.
