Amicus Therapeutics Announces Public Offering of Common Stock


CRANBURY, N.J., June 10, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Amicus Therapeutics (Nasdaq:FOLD), a biopharmaceutical company at the forefront of therapies for rare and orphan diseases, today announced it has commenced a $150 million underwritten public offering of its common stock. J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and Goldman, Sachs & Co. are acting as joint book-running managers for the proposed offering. Cowen and Company, LLC is acting as lead manager and Janney Montgomery Scott LLC is acting as co-manager for the proposed offering. The Company expects to grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 15% of the shares of common stock offered in the public offering. The offering is subject to market conditions, and there can be no assurance as to whether or when the offering may be completed, or as to the final size or terms of the offering.

The Company expects to use the net proceeds of the offering for investment in the global commercialization infrastructure for Galafold™ (migalastat) for Fabry disease, the continued clinical development of its product candidates and for other general corporate purposes.
