(Nasdaq:HILL), a trusted supplier of innovative enterprise-class storage systems, today announced that Autodesk, Inc., a leader in 3D design, engineering and entertainment software, will add Dot Hill's Ultra56™ 4004 AssuredSAN® array to its extensive portfolio of Dot Hill storage offerings for media & entertainment applications such as video post-production workflows. With the ability to store up to 1.5 petabytes of high-resolution video in a single array, the Ultra56 AssuredSAN 4004 delivers 2.3 times the capacity per rack unit and 42 percent lower cost per terabyte than a standard Dot Hill chassis configuration.

Unlike arrays offered by competitors, the Ultra56 AssuredSAN 4004 can stream up to 6400 MB/s, or four 4K uncompressed streams of DPX 10bit RGB video content. The Ultra56 AssuredSAN 4004 addresses 10bit 444 RGB uncompressed HD video workflows by supporting multiple edit suites with up to 15 simultaneous streams.
