GTX Corp Announces Membership Into the United Nations Global Compact

LOS ANGELES, June 24, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- GTX Corp (OTCQB:GTXO), an IoT platform in the personal location GPS wearable technology and wandering assistive technology business announced that it has been granted membership into the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), a strategic policy initiative for businesses that are committed to aligning their operations and strategies with 10 universally accepted principles (in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption) and take actions that advance social awareness.

"We founded GTX Corp on the simple premise to empower the global community with smart wearable technology centered on the safety, security and well-being for all who are impacted," commented Patrick Bertagna, founder and CEO of GTX Corp. "By joining the United Nations Global Compact, we will be able to work closely with other like-minded organizations focusing on collaboration and innovation to address some of the health and humanitarian challenges we face today. We take our responsibility very seriously to provide the tens of millions of caregivers with life changing technologies to enhance the quality of life for seniors and others who suffer from cognitive memory disorders. It is truly a great honor to become a member of the UNGC."

The UNGC will allow for a greater transparency of GTX Corp and its global initiatives. It will provide a framework for reporting progress and potential, and establish guidelines for the development, implementation and disclosure of sustainability policies and practices, offering members a wide spectrum of work streams, management tools, and resources. Additionally, the UNGC will relay information to the stake holders that the Company has established values, implemented responsible policies and took strategic actions to advance broader social goals in order to help create a better world.

The GTX Corp mission has been aligned with social responsibility since its founding as a pioneer in placing wandering assistive technologies in wearables. Early this year the Company launched the GPS SmartSoles which are a stigma free, safety and security proactive monitoring and tracking solution for those who suffer from Alzheimer's, dementia, autism and TBI, and have a tendency to wander. However the GPS SmartSoles are not limited just for seniors. Because this is wearable but invisible tracking technology it can also help protect journalists, diplomats, ambassadors, avid business travelers, and other high-profile individuals who travel to dangerous or remote regions of the world.
