On June 26, 2015, BlackRock, Inc., Wilmington, DE, U.S.A., has informed us
according to Article 21, Section 1 of the WpHG that its proportion of
voting rights on Brenntag AG, Stinnes-Platz 1, 45472 Mülheim an der Ruhr,
Germany, has exceeded the 5% threshold of the voting rights on June 24,
2015, and on that day amounted to 5.05% (this corresponds to 7,799,252
voting rights).

2.21% of the voting rights (this corresponds to 3,410,280 voting rights) is
to be attributed to the company according to Article 22, Section 1,
Sentence 1, No. 1 of the WpHG.

3.18 % of the voting rights (this corresponds to 4,906,526 voting rights)
is to be attributed to the company according to Article 22, Section 1,
Sentence 1, No. 6 in connection with Sentence 2 of the WpHG.

Please note that the total amount stated above does not necessarily equal
the sum of the detailed attributed holdings. This results from voting
rights having multiple attributions within the BlackRock group structure.
