Aehr Test Systems Added to Russell Microcap Index

FREMONT, Calif., June 30, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Aehr Test Systems (NASDAQ:AEHR), a worldwide supplier of semiconductor test and burn-in equipment, today announced it has been added to the Russell Microcap index effective at the close of the market on June 26, 2015, when Russell Investments reconstituted its comprehensive set of U.S. and global equity indexes.

Membership in the Russell Microcap Index, which remains in place for one year, means automatic inclusion in the appropriate growth and value style indexes. FTSE Russell determines membership for its Russell indexes primarily by objective, market-capitalization rankings and style attributes.

Gayn Erickson, President and CEO of Aehr Test Systems, said, "We are excited to be selected for inclusion in the Russell Microcap Index, which we believe will enhance public awareness and visibility of Aehr Test within the investment community as we expand our unique and highly cost-effective wafer-level test and burn-in solutions into new emerging test markets. We have significant growth potential in testing new devices such as stacked flash memory for enterprise Solid State Drives; CPUs and intelligent sensors for advanced driving assistance systems and automotive infotainment systems; and CPUs, sensors and communications components for mobility applications such as smartphones, wearable devices and the Internet of Things."

Russell indexes are widely used by investment managers and institutional investors for index funds and as benchmarks for active investment strategies. Approximately $5.7 trillion in assets are benchmarked to the Russell's U.S. indexes. Russell Indexes are part of FTSE Russell, a leading global index provider.
