Riga, 2015-07-02 16:03 CEST (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- On 10 July 2015, Vilius Juraitis will leave his position as Chairman of the Management Board and CEO at Elektrum Lietuva UAB. Starting from that day, the role as CEO at Elektrum Lietuva UAB will be taken over by Uldis Mucinieks, the current Member of the Management Board. During his time as Chairman of the Management Board at Elektrum Lietuva UAB, Vilius Juraitis successfully focused on increasing the number of customers, while strengthening the company’s position in Lithuania.
Along with these changes, Gatis Junghāns will leave his position as Member of the Management Board at Elektrum Lietuva UAB and Elektrum Eesti OU. He will take up duties in the Supervisory Board of Elektrum Lithuania UAB and Elektrum Eesti OU.
Elektrum Lietuva, UAB and Elektrum Eesti, OU are Latvenergo AS 100% owned subsidiaries, which are engaged in electricity supply in Lithuania and Estonia.
The amount of electricity supplied by Latvenergo Group to retail customers outside Latvia in 2014 increased almost by a half due to focused electricity trade activities and comprises more than one-third of Latvenergo Group total electricity supply. The number of customers in the neighbouring countries amounts to 34 thousand.
In 2014, the total electricity supply by Latvenergo Group has grown 9% compared to the previous year and was 8,688 GWh: the amount of electricity supplied in Latvia was 5,636 GWh, in Lithuania – 1,739 GWh and in Estonia – 1,314 GWh.
