CSP Inc. Announces General Availability of Fourth Generation of Myricom(R) Network Adapters

BILLERICA, Mass., July 7, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- CSP Inc. (NASDAQ:CSPI), a provider of specialized, high-performance Ethernet products for diverse applications, today announced the general availability of their fourth generation of Myricom® network adapters. The new Myricom adapters, initially shipping with DBL™ software, benefit customers seeking to speed up financial trading applications. These adapters offer more than just low latency. Server functions, such as A/B arbitration, are offloaded into the adapter hardware thereby improving the performance of the application itself.

"The Myricom network adapters have generated positive feedback from beta site customers," said Mr. Scott Hiemstra, manager of CDW's financial services business. "We are extremely pleased to add this product to our portfolio, providing our customers with a superior option for reducing 'tick to trade' latency performance in the financial services industry."

"CSPi's Myricom 10 Gigabit Ethernet adapters with DBL software are purpose built to enable extremely low-latency financial transactions," explains Craig Lund, General Manager, CSPi's High Performance Products segment. "Featuring large host buffers, precision timestamping and lossless packet capture the adapters optimize the handling of network traffic so latency and bandwidth sensitive applications can perform flawlessly even during the busiest time of the trading day or when surges occur in transaction feed rates."

Production units of the Myricom 10G-PCIE3-8D adapters started shipping to customers in mid-June. The adapters support all major Linux distributions as well as Windows 2008R2 and later.
