The event will take place on Monday, August 31st, 2015 at Gleneagles Country Club in Plano. During the past six years the tournament has grown tremendously, and this year more than 250 attendees are expected to participate.

This event is open to golfers of any skill level that have an interest in supporting educational opportunities for adults with special needs. Registration is available online at a cost of $200 per player or $800 per team, and various levels of sponsorships are available to support My Possibilities in its mission. Registration and breakfast begin at 7:30 a.m. and tee-time is at 9:00 a.m. Following the tournament, lunch will be provided by the HIPsters – Hugely Important People – who participate in the MP Culinary Arts & Catering Program. This year's event will also feature HIPsters who are part of the Special Olympic Golf Team and will be alongside their health and wellness instructors from My Possibilities.

My Possibilities and their sponsors are also hosting a raffle and silent auction featuring exciting prizes and one exclusive souvenir. "In North Texas, more than 200,000 adults live with cognitive disabilities, and 20,000 of that population resides in Collin County alone, so the need for support is great," said Charmaine Solomon, chairman of the organization. "Each year support for the organization comes from a variety of sources, and it is heartwarming to see the growing number of businesses and individuals turning out to raise funds for our students, during the Annual Golf Tournament."

"Our friends from Berry Family Services have signed on as the event's Presenting Sponsor this year," Charmaine added. The relationship between My Possibilities and Berry Family Services is strong, and it truly has transformed into a partnership. Katie Beth Massengill from Berry Family Services adds, "Since 2008, the partnership with MP has had one distinctive outcome: exploring concepts and searching for solutions that will provide an educational opportunity, not just for the families we support together, but also for the community."

Each week, My Possibilities serves 350 HIPsters. Recognized as the only program of its kind in the United States, My Possibilities provides continuing education and vocational training for adults with cognitive disabilities such as Autism, Down Syndrome, Asperger's and others. "We have an important mission," noted Solomon. "State funding for families with special needs adults is lower in Texas than in any other state, and the support we receive from the community during our fundraising efforts helps us provide a state-of-the-art facility and all day services for under $20 per client per day. Our corporate sponsors, friends, neighbors and other concerned citizens in North Texas are the foundation of our program, and we deeply appreciate their ongoing support."
