WASHINGTON, DC, July 11, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) is proud to announce Florida Lt. Governor Carlos Lopez-Cantera and Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Gimenez will be speaking at the USHCC Foundation's "Celebrating America's Business Future Reception" on July 13, 2015 at the 1 Hotel South Beach. Over 300 Hispanic business, community and political leaders are expected to attend the reception, including Miami-Dade College President Dr. Eduardo Padron and Florida International University representatives.
Lt. Governor Lopez-Cantera will be addressing business leaders in anticipation of his senate race announcement for Republican presidential candidate Senator Marco Rubio's highly contested seat. Lt. Governor Lopez-Cantera, a Cuban-American from South Florida, previously served as a Florida House member and Miami-Dade County's property appraiser.
Mayor Gimenez will be presenting the USHCC with the Key to the County, officially welcoming the association to Miami for its 2016 National Convention, which will take place the week before the 2016 presidential election. The annual convention is a premier event for America's small business community, convening thousands of Hispanic entrepreneurs, national and international corporate executives, top government officials, and representatives from local chambers and business associations throughout the country.
