Caverion provides ventilation and air conditioning solutions to University Hospital Frankfurt in Germany

Caverion has signed a contract with general contractor Hessisches Baumanagement on delivering ventilation and air conditioning solutions to three new buildings at the University Hospital Frankfurt. The value of the contract is EUR 10.6 million and it covers project execution. Work on the site has already begun and is scheduled to be completed in July 2017.

The total floor area of the three new hospital buildings is almost 50,000 m2 housing 258 beds for normal care and 82 beds for intensive care. With around 1,300 beds, University Hospital Frankfurt is the second-largest hospital in the state of Hesse.

“Stringent air purity requirements apply in sensitive rooms such as operating theatres and laboratories. At the same time, a healthy indoor climate has a positive impact on the patients’ well-being and the healing process. We have extensive expertise in efficient ventilation technology and competence in deliveries for demanding properties, such as hospitals,” says Werner Kühn, Executive Vice President & CEO at Caverion Germany.
