EVENTIM confirms Lieberberg plans to move / MLK and festivals Rock Am Ring
and Rock Im Park stay with EVENTIM / focus remains on ticketing and
international expansion
Munich, 03.08.2015. German promoter Marek Lieberberg has informed CTS
EVENTIM AG & Co. KGaA about his decision to start working for American
promoting company Live Nation at the beginning of 2016. CTS EVENTIM
comments as follows:
After more than 15 years of intense and successful cooperation with Marek
Lieberberg, we do of course regret his transfer to Live Nation, although we
can understand his motivation.
Marek Lieberberg Konzertagentur continues to belong to EVENTIM, and its
activities will be continued seamlessly within MEDUSA group. This in
particular includes our festivals ROCK AM RING and ROCK IM PARK with their
annual combined attendance of more than 150,000.
The focus of our expansion remains on ticketing, and it is moving more and
more to countries outside Germany. Last year, we have acquired and
successfully integrated ticketing companies in Spain, the Netherlands and
France. In Latin America, where we are already successfully providing the
ticketing services for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Summer Olympics, our market
entry on a broad scale is imminent.
We have been cooperating with Live Nation on ticketing in Germany for many
years and look forward to working with Marek Lieberberg in the future.
