Southern Concepts Restaurant Group Launches New Carve Barbecue Concept

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., Aug. 3, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Southern Concepts Restaurant Group, Inc. (OTCQB:RIBS), an innovator of the fast casual barbecue concept, will open its first Carve Barbecue fast casual location this October in Glendale, Colorado.

The Glendale Carve Barbecue, will be located at 1000 S. Colorado Blvd., in a 2,500-square-foot building with visibility of more than 80,000 passing cars per day.

"Carve is different than your traditional pit barbecue restaurant – it is barbecue without boundaries," said Southern Concepts CEO, Mitchell Roth. "Our menu will reflect barbecue influences from around the country, and we will be setting ourselves apart by choosing only the finest quality, all-natural meats, such as those produced by Creekstone Farms."

Carve Barbecue will feature:

  • Hand-carved protein, including: pork, chicken, brisket, ribs and prime rib
  • All-natural, wood-smoked meats
  • Scratch barbecue sides with a modern influence
  • Fresh sides made from scratch
  • Craft brews and local wines
  • A relaxed, contemporary dining experience

Customers will walk down the food line where they choose their style – naked, salad, sandwich or street taco – and then meat, garnishments, and sides. Carve's meats are never frozen and are smoked for up to 12 hours before they are carved to order. Garnishments and sides will range from traditional options, like coleslaw, to barbecue pico de gallo and charred corn salad.

"We see the Glendale location as the first of many," said Roth. "In fact, we plan to open at least four more Carves by the end of 2016."
