HAGERSTOWN, Md., Aug. 3, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Community Management Corporation (CMC), an Associa company, and Associa Supports Kids (ASK) will be taking part in the much hyped Hagerstown's annual National Night Out event on Tuesday, August 4.
The local crime and drug prevention event will take place from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Fairgrounds Park at 351 North Cleveland Avenue in Hagerstown. The community-wide celebration will feature food, games, giveaways, pictures with Scout, the Associa Supports Kids mascot, along with a chance to meet your local Hagerstown police officers.
"The Hagerstown Police Department knows how to celebrate this occasion. Last year, more than 1200 residents came out and we're expecting even more this year," says CMC Vice President Mac Staples. "We are extremely proud to be a part of this and see all of the wonderful residents who come out and support anti-crime and anti-drug efforts with their neighbors."
NNO is designed to: (1) Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; (2) Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs; (3) Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and (4) Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
