The Ensign Group Acquires Two California Assisted Living Facilities


MISSION VIEJO, Calif., Aug. 4, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Ensign Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:ENSG), the parent company of the Ensign™ group of skilled nursing, rehabilitative care services, home health care, hospice care, assisted living and urgent care companies, announced today that it has acquired Citrus Hills Assisted Living, a 71-unit assisted living facility in Orange, California, and Whittier Glen Assisted Living, a 69-unit assisted living facility in Whittier, California. Both acquisitions were effective August 4, 2015.

Ensign is operating both facilities under long-term leases. At acquisition, the occupancy rate across both facilities was approximately 81% and the facilities are expected to be mildly accretive to earnings in 2015.
