Webinar on Cybersecurity and the BC/DR Professional to be Presented by a Panel of MIR3 Experts

Webinar Explores How the Role of the Business Continuity Professional is Expanding in the Wake of Cybercrime

SAN DIEGO, Aug. 04, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MIR3®, Inc., the innovator of real-time Intelligent Notification (IN™) and response technology, today announced a webinar that will explore cybersecurity from the perspective of the business continuity manager. The webinar, Cybersecurity and the BC/DR Professional, will be a panel discussion lead by nationally known BC/DR expert Ann Pickren, COO for MIR3, and will include Billy Norwood, CISSP and information security/risk/compliance specialist and Stacey Giles, director of enterprise solutions, also of MIR3.

The webinar takes place on Wednesday, August 12 at 11:00am PT (2:00pm ET). Registration is required, though there is no charge to attend.

Cybercrime is changing the face of business as we know it, leaving virtually no company untouched. Attacks can be designed to deny access to a website, capture client identities, steal money, tamper with intellectual property and track the activities of an organization. This has made companies rethink the usual approach to ensuring business continuity and disaster recovery.

“Cybercrime presents an entirely new level of risk to organizations, one that is of particular concern to the business continuity professional,” said Pickren. “In the webinar we’ll talk about what the BC/DR manager needs to know to prepare for and respond to a cyberattack, and also how they can adapt to a new role as resilience professional.” The panel will discuss the risks to an organization in the case of a cyberattack, and what customers and clients expect from companies if data is compromised.
