Ramirent has signed an exclusive project agreement with NCC, who is to implement the ground preparation work, facilities construction and building construction work for the expansion of the Södra Cell Värö factory. In Ramirent’s total solution, machines are combined with extensive planning with high focus on safety. Ramirent has also established a customer centre with a training unit on site in the project. The value of the order is estimated at approximately EUR 10 million, over the period summer 2015 and autumn 2016.
In 2014, Södra Cell AB decided to invest in a major expansion of its Södra Cell Värö pulp mill. The expansion involves an increase in production capacity from the current 425,000 tons to 700,000 tons of pulp annually. The mill will be one of the world’s largest for the production of softwood sulphate pulp. In the expansion NCC implements the ground preparation work, facilities construction and building construction work.

Ramirent’s delivery to NCC is ensured by means of a dedicated project manager who will remain onsite in Värö throughout the project. Throughout the project, Ramirent also assists with security solutions via its subsidiary Safety Solution Jonsereds.
Ramirent has previously delivered total solutions for the expansion of mining operations at Garpenberg and in the ongoing Urban Escape Stockholm project, among other projects.
