UPS Freight Announces New Service Center in Franklin Park

UPS Freight now features five Chicago-area facilities


Franklin Park, IL, Aug. 20, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- UPS Freight (NYSE: UPS) today announced the addition of a new facility in Franklin Park.  The 28,000 square-foot building features 66 docks for the loading and unloading of less-than-truckload (LTL) freight.  The Franklin Park location complements nearby UPS Freight centers in Aurora, Chicago, Palatine and South Holland.

This facility loads and unloads LTL freight.  It processes freight shipments from around the U.S. and provides pickup and delivery services to customers throughout the greater Chicago area. 

The building at 11201 Irving Park Road houses roughly 90 UPS Freight employees including truck drivers, dock workers, administrative and management workers. The facility sits on a five-acre lot that includes staging for tractor trailers and employee parking.
