DSB optimises organisation

DSB is currently optimising its organisation.

DSB is currently optimising its organisation. The optimisation underlines DSB’s focus on its core business and gathers main responsibility for this business in two main areas: ”Operations” focusing on train operations and maintenance and ”Commercial” focusing on customers, products and revenue.

At the same time, a new unit will be established: ”Strategy and Rolling Stock”, which will be headed by Jürgen Müller who, as previously announced, will be joining DSB on 1 October. This unit will combine DSB’s strategic work and its work with developing existing rolling stock and procuring new rolling stock.

The optimised organisation means that DSB will be integrating Operations and Maintenance into one operating organisation to be headed by Anders Egehus, current Executive Vice President of Operations. This change means that Steen Schougaard Christensen, current CEO of Vedligehold A/S, will be leaving DSB according to a mutual agreement.

In this connection, Flemming Jensen, CEO of DSB, says:
”I want to thank Steen for his hard work and dedication over the years where he has fulfilled difficult and important tasks for DSB. He has always been assiduous and competent in his work, something that the entire corporation has benefited from. I believe that time has now come to integrate the two organisations into one and thus create more simplicity and focus in the way we organise this very central area in DSB. On behalf of myself and the corporation I wish Steen the very best of luck in the future. ”

The changes in the corporate management give rise to minor adjustments in other central functions as well.

DSB’s current head of legal affairs Mette Rosholm is appointed Executive Vice President of HR and Legal Affairs. Susanne Mørch Koch who has temporarily filled the function as Executive Vice President of HR while also working as Executive Vice President of Commercial Matters can now, in line with her own wishes, dedicate all her time to the commercial matters with her new title as Executive Vice President, Commercial.

There are no changes in the other executive positions.

The changes take effect as of and including 1 September.
