Record Restaurant Lineup Announced for Central Florida Charity Event

Special Olympics Florida hosts fundraising event featuring twenty-one restaurants, including Talk of the Town Restaurant Group

CLERMONT, Fla., Aug. 25, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Central Florida's culinary scene is exploding and this October 24th Jack in the Park brings together a record number of favorite flavors from popular Central Florida restaurants for a good cause.

Benefiting Special Olympics Florida, Jack in the Park is a vibrant night out, featuring live music, a fast-paced black jack tournament, an open bar and an expansive menu supplied by more than twenty of Central Florida's hottest and newest restaurants.

For a suggested donation of $125 – less than a night out on the town – guests of Jack in the Park enjoy an open bar and festive atmosphere as they sample unlimited selections from all of the featured restaurants, including: Brio Tuscan Grille, Osprey's Tavern, Itta Benna, Bavaro's, Carmel Kitchen, Sonny's BBQ, Pi Hole Pizza, Seito Sushi, Portobello, BB Kings, mi Tomatina, Krispy Kreme, Tap Room at Dubsdread, Lafayette's Music Room, and Tony Roma's Fire Grill & Lounge.

In addition to a record number of restaurants at this year's event, Jack in the Park welcomed Central Florida culinary guru, Scott Joseph, who will serve as the event's Honorary Chair and Master of Ceremonies. Joseph will be joined by WOFL Fox 35 Sports Anchor, Adam Shadoff, who will emcee the event.

To kick off the excitement, the Jack in the Park Pre-Party, hosted by new event partners Fields BMW in Winter Park, FL will feature gourmet fare from Talk of the Town Restaurant Group's Charley's Steak House, FishBones, Johnnie's Hideaway, Moonfish, Texas Cattle Company and Vito's Chop House. Talk of the Town will be bringing along their citrus and oak wood-burning pit to prepare Sliced Tenderloin with Gorgonzola Fondue and Atlantic Cedar Plank Salmon. These fabulous dishes will be accompanied by their signature house salad and dessert. Held on Thursday, September 24th from 7pm-10pm, the pre-party is open to the public and tickets, which include food and drink, are available for only $35.

Celebrating its 9th year, Jack in the Park is an exquisite outside-of-the-ballroom fundraising event, engaging the local community to make a difference in the lives of Special Olympics Florida athletes. With 1,100 guests in attendance, last year's event sold out.
