In recent months, Danmarks Nationalbank has sold foreign exchange in the market for a substantial amount. As a consequence, there is no longer a need for the extraordinary measures that were launched following the capital inflow at the beginning of the year.
On that background and upon the recommendation of Danmarks Nationalbank, the Ministry of Finance has decided to resume the issuance of government bonds effective from October 2015, cf. the separate strategy announcement.
At the same time, Danmarks Nationalbank has decided to reduce the current-account limits which were increased in the spring. The overall current-account limit will be reduced from kr. 174 billion to kr. 63 billion effective from 28 August 2015. The new individual current-account limits for the monetary-policy counterparties are listed on www.nationalbanken.dk.
