Expansion Deepens Interactive Data's Coverage of US Derivatives and Energy Marketplace

NEW YORK, Sept. 1, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Nasdaq announced today that it now supplies futures data to Interactive Data's product line through Nasdaq Futures, Inc. (NFX), the exchange group's US-based designated contract market (DCM) that launched on July 24, 2015.

Interactive Data connects to NFX through its 7ticks service, a platform that combines exchange access and market data services, infrastructure managed services, proximity and co-location services and global connectivity. NFX data is supplied to Interactive Data's Consolidated Feed, a single delivery mechanism that connects to more than 400 global market venues, and through FutureSource, an Interactive Data desktop offering that gives futures and commodities industry participants pre- and post-trade analysis and real-time charting.

"Accurate and reliable data enables global market participants to better analyze pre-trade execution, and feed precise data into back office work streams and risk systems," said Emmanuel Doe, President of Interactive Data's Trading Solutions businesses. "Delivering that data across a low-latency network on a wide scale is now a business imperative for our clients, and we are proud to work with NFX to support its U.S. derivatives and energy businesses by supplying its data to our clients."

As a data provider for the Futures Commission Merchants connected to NFX, Interactive Data ensures that buyers and sellers of energy futures and options contracts have access to high-quality pricing, data and analysis in real-time. These system functionalities help users better manage investment risk.

"We are excited to welcome Interactive Data as a provider of market data services for NFX," said Magnus Haglind, Vice President and Head of U.S. Commodities, Nasdaq. "Their powerful suite of tools and extensive reach can help market participants trade more effectively and efficiently."
