no 71/15 Nasdaq Commodities sets new monthly market share record for German Power at 11.20%


The German Power offering from Nasdaq Commodities reached 11.20% market share in August which is a new monthly record for total cleared volumes. The previous record was from February this year at 8.83%.

The market share of total cleared volumes stands at 7.42% year to date, which compares to 2014 when the market share was 4.55%. Nasdaq Commodities’ volumes in August was the second highest this year, amounting to 16 678 558 MWh (February 2015: 16 784 308 MWh).

Nasdaq Commodities also reached a record of total exchange traded market share at 17.81%, the previous record was from March at 15.09%.

“Last week we reached a daily volume record at 3 853 030 MWh, and in August we set a monthly market share record of 11.20%. Clearly we are very pleased with the developments that visibly prove the strength in our offering and the support in the market.”
