Technopolis Takes Second GRESB Green Star Award

Technopolis participated for the second time in the GRESB (Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark) survey. The company scored the fifth highest total points of all European property companies in the office category. With a total score of 80, Technopolis was awarded the highest - Green Star - status.

Globally, Technopolis ranked 22nd out of 145 office property companies that participated.

“In 2014 we took part in the GRESB survey for the first time and we were awarded with the Green Star. Our goal was to improve our position and we were able to increase the overall points by 4%,” says Virve Valonen, Head of Concept Development and Sustainability at Technopolis.

In 2014, Technopolis achieved five LEED building ratings, and the current amount of LEED certifications stands at 16.

“We have an excellent team in sustainability reporting. In addition the company’s management and key stakeholders show a lot of interest in the sustainability work. Our input reflects in the results,” Valonen says.
