Affecto continues to maintain and operate the Finnish Land Parcel Identification System also in 2016 - 2018
The Finnish Agency for Rural Affairs has exercised the option to have Affecto’s subsidiary Karttakeskus to maintain and operate the Finnish Land Parcel Identification System also in 2016-2018. The total revenue impact of the exercised option is approximately EUR 2.8 million during years 2016-2018.
The exercised option is based on the agreement between Affecto and the Finnish Agency for Rural Affairs that Affecto published 26 September 2013. Originally, the agreement covered the years 2014, 2015 and the beginning of 2016. The two additional years will now continue the service period until spring 2018. Affecto has been providing services to the Finnish Agency for Rural Affairs already since 2000.
The Finnish Land Parcel Identification System is a location database that is used in agricultural support administration, monitoring, planning and reporting. The system is digitalized and is based on aerial photographs.
