EFI's Graph Expo Exhibit is Once Again the Place for Customers to See the Industry's Most Advanced Products

CHICAGO, Sept. 14, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- GRAPH EXPO -- For the fifth consecutive year, EFI™ (Nasdaq:EFII) has the most awarded portfolio of technologies on display at North America's largest print industry exposition, with nine Must See 'Ems Award-winning products for print service providers (PSPs) featured at the show – the most of any exhibitor this year. The awards honor the best new technologies on display at Graph Expo 2015. The nine winning technologies are among 17 new products EFI is premiering at the show – a range of digital print production, industrial inkjet and integrated workflow and offerings that help EFI customers continue to outperform their peers with higher production efficiency, increased productivity and new revenue opportunities.

"EFI is passionate about helping our customers grow their businesses," said EFI CEO Guy Gecht. "We are also guided by important trends – around data, efficiency, versatility and sustainability – that make printing a stronger, more exciting industry. Our Graph Expo exhibit reflects the innovative approaches we are taking to help customers take advantage of these trends."

The next evolution in digital print productivity

With more than 1.8 million Fiery installations worldwide, EFI's original, transformative Fiery® digital front end (DFE) technology is a critical part of digital print professionals' success in getting work printed correctly, time after time, with streamlined and automated prep processes capable of handling high-volume, variable-data and complex jobs. Fiery DFEs' market impact is evident throughout McCormick Place, with Fiery Driven™ cut-sheet digital production presses on display at Graph Expo in the Xerox®, Canon®, Ricoh®, Konica Minolta®, Sharp®, MGI and EFI booths.

Graph Expo marks the tradeshow debut of EFI Fiery FS200 Pro technology, the fastest, most advanced platform in the Fiery DFE product line. EFI partners are developing DFEs for their newest digital presses using the Fiery FS200 Pro platform. Many new Fiery FS200 Pro-based DFEs extend print businesses' performance advantage with a 2015 Must See 'Ems Award-winning Fiery HyperRIP technology that boosts processing speed up to 55%. Users can RIP up to four jobs simultaneously on four parallel processors with the technology. The product also includes a new Rush RIP mode that opens up a fifth processor for rush jobs when all four main parallel processors are busy.

EFI Fiery CMYK+ technology, another 2015 Must See 'Ems Award-winner that is part of the Fiery FS200 Pro platform, is making its debut in the Fiery server on the new Xerox iGen® 5 Press in Xerox's exhibit (booth 613). PSPs can now achieve the most accurate match of brand colors and specific PANTONE® colors previously only available via offset printing. A third 2015 Must See 'Ems Award-winning Fiery technology, EFI Fiery Smart Estimator software, addresses an unmet need in digital printing by giving users accurate costing data for specialty toners.

Show attendees can also get a first look at a unique 2015 Must See 'Ems Award-winning technology demonstration: EFI Fiery Final Fix software that combines color correction with powerful, touch-screen image editing capabilities for last-minute, pixel-accurate edits to raster files. Other new Fiery innovations on display drive best-in-class productivity in prepress automation, in-RIP make-ready processes, color management and custom digital print workflow development.

Industry-leading LED inkjet for profitable commercial print opportunities

With more than 500 LED inkjet printers installed worldwide, EFI is leading the charge for commercial printing companies and in-plant print departments adopting LED's greener, energy-efficient and cost-effective "cool cure" advantages. EFI has the industry's only portfolio of production-speed LED inkjet printers – advanced products that can print on a wide range of substrates that melt or warp when exposed to other curing or drying methods. Users benefit by printing a broader range of applications, including jobs produced on very thin or specialty materials.

The 80-inch EFI VUTEk® GS2000lx Pro with UltraDrop™ Technology and 65-inch EFI H1625 LED hybrid printers at Graph Expo meet high-end and entry-level production needs, respectively, for premium-quality signage and display applications. Both printers offer the industry's leading white ink technology and variable-drop grayscale printheads.

The eight-color VUTEk model also includes UltraDrop™ Technology, which delivers exceptional quality, including crisp four-point type and vibrant color using 7-picoliter printheads. The four-color plus white H1625 LED model is one of the industry's most popular LED inkjet printers. At Graph Expo, it is being exhibited by EFI and by one of EFI's partners, Konica Minolta Business Solutions, U.S.A. (booth 1913).

In addition to advanced LED inkjet printers, EFI is highlighting a pair of 2015 Must See 'Ems Award-winning inks for thermoforming and clear varnish applications. Print professionals also can process more jobs per shift using the newest-version EFI Fiery proServer for VUTEk printers launching at Graph Expo. Thanks to a new print driver enhancement in the proServer's software, VUTEk users can process print files 60% faster compared to the previous version of the proServer. This advanced, production-accelerating product also processes jobs up to 170% faster than alternate inkjet printer RIPs.

World-class, integrated business and production workflows

EFI's award-winning offerings also include integrated MIS and Web-to-print/eCommerce software that collectively represent the leading, most comprehensive and most innovative portfolio of print workflow technologies. With more than 25,000 installations worldwide – including installations at 75% of the industry's top 400 companies in North America – printing operations of every size and type rely on EFI workflow software for efficient job submission, estimating, scheduling, tracking, fulfillment, shipping and financial accounting.

EFI's Productivity Suite offering of certified and integrated workflows includes robust, end-to-end systems for mid-size and large commercial printing businesses, as well as label and packaging converters.

A new version of the EFI Midmarket Productivity Suite premiering at Graph Expo offers out-of-the-box productivity and efficiency with EFI Pace™ MIS software and a wide array of optional capabilities for marketing/CRM, eCommerce, shipping, fulfillment and more. It also includes a new, 2015 Must See 'Ems Award-winning integration for automated, accurate impositioning during the initial job estimating process so jobs are quoted based on the most cost-effective production scenario.

The EFI Enterprise Print Suite is based on EFI's Monarch ERP software and gives large print organizations more power to manage complex and high-volume print operations. The suite's out-of-the-box certified workflows have expanded to include additional CRM, planning and award-winning estimating capabilities, alongside many other key features. Print businesses, including multi-plant and multi-national organizations, can use the suite to gain new capabilities for achieving repeatable, profitable results, streamlined operational efficiency and accurate financial management, tracking, reporting and analysis.

EFI's new Enterprise Packaging Suite includes a 2015 Must See 'Ems Award-winning innovation, a dynamic scheduling integration with EFI Radius® ERP software that optimizes cylinder, die and tooling management in converting operations to improve plant efficiency and capacity utilization. The newest version of EFI PrintSmith™ Vision software premiering at Graph Expo provides a robust, and efficiency-driven upgrade to the industry's most popular small commercial and in-plant print MIS platform.

EFI DirectSmile Cross Media software, version 7, makes its worldwide debut at the Chicago show after impressing awards competition judges from across the print industry. The acclaimed, browser-based product, which received a 2015 Must See 'Ems Award and a 2015 Printing Industries of America InterTech™ Award, gives PSPs the power to create, personalize and automate multi-channel marketing with no HTML programming required.

EFI's exhibit is in booth 1902 at Graph Expo 2015, Sept. 13-16, McCormick Place, Chicago. For more information about the new EFI products at the show, visit www.efi.com or contact 800-875-7117.
