The Foundation for Financial Planning to Participate at the Financial Planning Association's Annual Conference: BE Boston 2015

Foundation to host continuing education workshop on providing pro bono financial planning to enlisted and retired military members and 20th Anniversary Reception


ATLANTA, Ga., Sept. 22, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via PRWEB - The Foundation for Financial Planning looks forward to joining financial planning professionals at the Financial Planning Association® (FPA®) Annual Conference September 26 through 28 in Boston as a community partner and participant to celebrate 20 years of supporting the delivery of financial planning to underserved populations. The Foundation participates annually and provides industry professionals with updates on the continuous need and outcomes of pro bono financial planning.

Since 1995 the Foundation has provided over $5.7 million in grants to community organizations to support the delivery of financial planning to the underserved, of which $2.2 million was provided to FPA and its Chapters. FPA is a strategic partner and works collaboratively with the Foundation to provide pro bono financial planning to underserved people nationally.

As the profession's Foundation and with the support of more than 13,000 industry volunteers, the Foundation is instrumental in the delivery of financial planning to more than 350,000 people – including military, survivors of domestic abuse, first time homebuyers, chronic disease survivors and many more. "The Foundation's work is a testament to the profession's understanding of the necessity and value of supporting and expanding financial planning to those most in need," Bernie Clark, Foundation Chair.

Mr. Power will discuss the needs and benefits of providing pro bono financial planning to the military.
