Þorsteinn Arnalds resigns from the Board of Directors of the Housing Financing fund - recruited temporarily as the head of HFF's risk management

The Housing Financing Fund (HFF) has temporarily recruited Þorsteinn Arnalds as head of risk management and will he take over on October 1st. Þorsteinn has been a member of the Board of Directors of the HFF for just over a year and has many years of experience in housing matters, both in the public and the private sector. Þorsteinn worked on diagnosing and developing valuation methods at Registers Iceland during the years 2004 – 2012. He worked in risk management in Arion bank 2012 – 2014 and has since then worked for The Data Protection Agency. Þorsteinn is an engineer from The University of Iceland and has a master’s degree in statistics from University College in London.

This is a temporary recruitment as the former head of risk management has accepted a job at a bank in Denmark and the projects of the risk management are of great significance at this time and therefore important to man the position until it can be advertised. The position will be advertised no later than next autumn. Þorsteinn has at this time resigned from the Board of Directors of HFF.
