United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Recognizes Outstanding Local Chambers


WASHINGTON, Oct. 2, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) honored three Hispanic chambers for their extraordinary contributions to the business community with the Chamber of the Year Award. The recipients were announced during the 2015 USHCC National Convention in Houston, the largest gathering of Hispanic business leaders in the nation.

"The USHCC recognizes the outstanding work local Hispanic chambers are undertaking in their community." said USHCC President & CEO Javier Palomarez. Applicants from across the nation were judged on their outstanding accomplishments, leadership, service and commitment to the Hispanic business community.
 
The Small, Medium and Large Hispanic Chamber of the Year Awards honor accomplished Hispanic chambers of commerce that serve fewer than 249 members, between 250 and 499 members, and more than 500 members, respectively.
 
The winners of the 2015 USHCC Small, Medium and Large Chamber Awards are:
 
Small: Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; Executive Director: Camilo Suero
 
Medium: Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; President: Angela Franco

Large: Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; President: Mark Madrid
