Security Experts Eric O'Neill and Chris Roberts to Keynote Bit9 + Carbon Black User Xchange 2015 in Las Vegas

Former FBI agent O'Neill helped capture the most notorious spy in U.S. history; Roberts is a top counter threat intelligence expert

WALTHAM, Mass., Oct. 6, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Bit9® + Carbon Black®, the leader in Next-Generation Endpoint Security, today announced Eric O' Neill and Chris Roberts as keynote speakers at the Bit9 + Carbon Black User Xchange 2015 on October 19–21 at the LINQ Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The event is open to all Bit9 + Carbon Black customers.

The keynotes highlight a packed agenda of best practices, information sharing and training at what will be the biggest User Xchange in company history, with twice as many attendees expected than last year.

On Tuesday, October 20, at 9:00 a.m. PDT, O'Neill will deliver his keynote address: The Spy Next Door. How the Human Element is the Weakest Link in Any Cyber Security System, which will reveal how to identify and neutralize the spies hiding right beside you.

In 2001, O'Neill helped capture the most notorious spy in United States history: Robert Hanssen, a 25-year veteran of the FBI. The remarkable events of what the Department of Justice called "possibly the worst intelligence disaster in US history" inspired the critically acclaimed film Breach.

O'Neill now leads The Georgetown Group, a premier investigative and security consultancy, where he specializes in counter intelligence operations, investigations into economic espionage, cyber security penetrations, internal investigations, catching the trusted insider and security risk assessment consulting out of Washington.

On Wednesday, October 21, at 8:30 a.m. PDT, Roberts will deliver his keynote address, A Call to Arms, which will focus on better utilizing an organization's people as a key asset in the security equation.

Roberts is one of the world's foremost experts on counter threat intelligence. He constructs and directs One World Labs' portfolio of defense services designed to improve the physical and digital security posture of both its enterprise and government clients. With increasingly sophisticated attacks on targets of opportunity, Roberts' unique methods of addressing the evolving threat matrix and experience with all information systems make him an indispensable partner to clients and industries that demand protection of financials, intellectual property, customer data and other protected information from attack.
