Family Eye Care Center Frame Show to Feature Tom Ford Line

RALEIGH, N.C., Oct. 11, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Raleigh-area residents interested in the latest eyewear trends are invited to a special frame show hosted by Family Eye Care Center. The event will run from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. October 24, 2015, at 7500 Ramble Way Suite 101, and includes the full line of Tom Ford designer frames for eyeglasses and sunglasses.

Family Eye Care Center, located in Raleigh, North Carolina, recently began adding to its selection of designer frames. Dr. Jeffrey Handschumacher, optometrist and founder of the practice, said that the Tom Ford line offers practical and stylish options for all ages. Patients already can choose from more than 10 other designer lines, including Gucci, Ray-Ban, Versace and Coach.

“A great pair of glasses does more than just help you see well; they can be an expression of your personal style,” said Family Eye Care Center’s Dr. Jeffrey Handschumacher, who has been practicing optometry in North Carolina since 1999.

At the show, representatives from Tom Ford will be happy to help people find the right fit. At the same time, the Family Eye Care Center staff will be available to schedule appointments for new or current patients, whether someone wants to upgrade to new frames, may need a new prescription or a regular eye or vision exam, or their vision needs.

“We pride ourselves on always providing what our patients require,” Dr. Handschumacher said. “With the upcoming frame show, we will be able to offer even more options to fit our patients’ style, budget, lifestyle and vision needs.”

The Family Eye Care Center staff can discuss if contact lenses or other specialty lenses might work for your particular optical needs, whether you’re an adult or a pediatric patient. Repairs or transition lenses are also available.

In addition, Dr. Handschumacher can assist with diagnosing or treating any medical needs, such as cataracts, astigmatism, glaucoma, macular degeneration or diabetic retinopathy. Other conditions such as infections or dry eye also can be treated. He also tests for eye function and eye health, procedures beyond routine vision tests.

Prior to opening Family Eye Care, Dr. Handschumacher studied science at Bowling Green State University and then attended the Illinois College of Optometry. He later trained in West Virginia and Ohio. He is certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease by the International Association of Boards of Examiners in Optometry, and is a member of the American Optometric Association as well as the North Carolina State Optometric Society.

Family Eye Care Center offers family eye care and medical eye care plus a variety of other optical services to residents living in the Raleigh and Rocky Mount areas. The American Optometric Association recommends annual or biennial eye and vision exams.  For more info call (919) 981-4444 or visit http://www.familyeyecarecenternc.com/
