Aarsleff signs conditional agreement for acquisition of the shares in Hansson & Knudsen A/S


Copenhagen, 2015-10-12 09:34 CEST (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Per Aarsleff A/S has entered into an agreement to acquire all the shares in the building and construction company Hansson & Knudsen A/S in Odense. The acquisition includes Hanson & Knudsen A/S with the subsidiaries Håndværkergården A/S in Odense, PH-Byg Faaborg A/S and Johan C. Nielsen A/S in Sønderborg.

Hansson & Knudsen carries out new construction, renovation and building maintenance primarily on Funen, in the Triangle Region and in Southern Jutland. Hansson & Knudsen is a growing company and had annual revenue of DKK 742 million in 2014 and engaged 419 employees.Profit before tax was DKK 32 million. Through recent years, Hansson & Knudsen has experienced an increasing level of activity within housing renovation with large contracts in Odense, Fredericia, Aarhus, Aabenraa and Korsør.

General manager Povl Christensen will continue in the new ownership structure together with the rest of the management. The intention is that Hansson & Knudsen will continue its activities from its own address, and that the company’s specialist skills within construction are to develop further as a company in the Aarsleff Group.

Aarsleff already has building-related activities on Sealand and works with nationwide building installations through the subsidiary Wicotec Kirkebjerg A/S.
