Donovan Nowell Joins Beazley


FARMINGTON, Conn., Oct. 19, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Donovan Nowell has joined Beazley as head of broker relations, west region. In this capacity he will be responsible for developing Beazley's broker relationships and overseeing the company's distribution strategy throughout the region.

Mr Nowell brings almost 20 years of insurance industry experience to the role, working in senior capacities for both broking and underwriting businesses. He served most recently as director and executive vice president, carrier relations at Willis, where he was responsible for managing the firm's carrier relationships throughout North America. At Willis, he also focused on the creation of carrier panels specializing in key business lines and industries.

In his new role at Beazley, Mr Nowell has relocated from New York to Los Angeles, the newest of Beazley's six hub offices in the US. As Los Angeles head of office, Mr Nowell will be responsible for overseeing the expansion of the office, which currently comprises underwriting teams focusing on healthcare, management liability, environmental, technology E &O and data breach risk, and excess and surplus lines commercial property.
