Point-of-Sale Is on the Move in Mexico

Leading Latin American Apparel Retailer Selects Manhattan Associates for Omni-Channel Transformation

ATLANTA and MEXICO CITY, Oct. 27, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Manhattan Associates, Inc. (NASDAQ:MANH) today announced that Diltex S.A. de C.V., a Mexico-based women’s beauty and apparel retailer, has selected Manhattan’s Omni-Channel Operations Platform, including Point of Sale (POS), Clienteling, Order Management and Store Inventory & Fulfillment. Diltex will use the Manhattan platform to manage online and in-store transactions at its 225 Ilusión and Fiorentina stores in six countries across Latin America.

Diltex is transforming its omni-channel operations to deliver an engaging experience for its customers online as well as in the store. Soon, all Ilusión or Fiorentina store associates can greet a customer and engage immediately, review the customer’s shopping history and suggest apparel or beauty products based on previous purchases, recommend complementary items, or arrange delivery or in-store pick-up—all in a single transaction from one device.

“We need a platform that will unify how we manage inventory and drive customer service across our brand portfolio and throughout a wide variety of channels: online, in stores and through direct mail catalogs,” said David Romano, chief executive officer, Diltex. “Manhattan is the only company that can deliver the inventory and order management capabilities that we require directly integrated with the point of sale.”

Additionally, Diltex can benefit by fulfilling orders from the most profitable location, including stores, and automating the picking and packing of customer orders.

“The robust capabilities of our Omni-Channel Operations Platform are proven to generate notable lifts in revenue, which can accelerate Ilusión and Fiorentina’s sales across all network channels while increasing employee productivity,” said Oscar Valero, senior director, Latin America, Manhattan Associates. “The aisle is always full, check out is faster and store professionals are better able to meet the customer at key points along the brand journey—before, during and after store visits to ensure personalized attention and service.”

Diltex first partnered with Manhattan in 2007, when the retailer rolled out Manhattan SCALE to streamline warehouse operations in its two distribution centers outside of Mexico City.

Diltex Chief Operating Officer Alejandro Perez will share additional details of its pioneering Omni-Channel Platform rollout during Manhattan’s Mexico Exchange on Tuesday, October 27 at 10:45 a.m. in Mexico City.
