MacAulay-Brown Employees, Families and Guests Participated in 2015 Air Force Marathon Events


DAYTON, Ohio, Oct. 29, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --

MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), a leading National Security company delivering advanced engineering services and product solutions to Defense, Intelligence, Special Operations Forces, Homeland Security and Federal agencies, announced today that more than 80 sponsored company employees, family members and guests participated in the 19th Annual Air Force Marathon in September either running, walking, volunteering or cheering throughout weekend events.

The race is scheduled every year for the third Saturday in September, and all levels of runners and walkers from around the world participate. The course is certified by the U.S. Track and Field Association, and is a Boston Marathon qualifier. Events kicked off on Friday, September 18 with the Air Force 5K Race, sponsored by Wright State University. The Air Force Full Marathon and 10K race were run on Saturday, September 19, at 7:30 a.m. The Half Marathon began at 8:30 a.m. 

The full marathon is a 26.2-mile run that navigates historical places on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, including the National Museum of the United States Air Force, the Air Force Institute of Technology, Headquarters Air Force Material Command, the Wright-Patterson AFB flight line, Huffman Prairie Flying Field and the Wright Brothers Memorial Monument.
